Lelucon Obama Mudah Dibunuh karena Hitam

TORONTO, KOMPAS.com — Lembaga penyiaran Kanada menyatakan, televisi berbahasa Perancis melanggar aturan dan harus minta maaf karena menayangkan lelucon yang menyebut Presiden AS Barack Obama mudah dibunuh karena berkulit hitam dan tinggal di Gedung Putih.

Komisi Radio-Televisi dan Telekomunikasi Kanada (CRTC), Senin (31/8), mengaku menerima 250 komplain menyusul tayangan Malam Tahun Baru 2009 oleh Radio-Canada yang menampilkan kisah-kisah lucu tentang Obama. Radio-Canada adalah lembaga penyiaran berbahasa Perancis di bawah bendera Canadian Broadcasting Corp (CBC).

Badan Standar Penyiaran Kanada mengeluarkan teguran kepada Radio-Canada dan CRTC menindaklanjutinya. CBC diperintahkan meminta maaf kepada pemirsa dan menjamin tidak mengulangi perbuatan.

Dalam tayangan itu, seorang pelawak dalam sebuah wawancara mengatakan bahwa Obama akan mudah menjadi target. "Akan menjadi mudah. Hitam dalam putih. Akan mudah membidiknya," kata sang komedian.

Do As Infinity

Consisting of Tomiko Van (vocalist) and Ryo Owatari (guitarist), Do As Infinity (D.A.I.) is one of the most popular names in Japanese music. Several of their songs has been used as themes for Japanese television shows, movies, video games, and anime, which gained them a great amount of popularity both in Japan and worldwide.

The group disbanded in September 2005 and performed their last live concert at the Nippon Budokan. Each member moved onto other projects: Tomiko Van went singing as a soloist under her name; Ryo Owatari was dedicating his time to the 3-piece band Missile Innovation and supporting other bands/artists on guitars; and Dai Nagao continued acting as a composer for various Avex Trax artists.

After 3 years of inactivity, the band comes back with a new site layout, new supporting members and a promise of new releases. Though the two original members, Tomiko Van and Ryo Owatari have rejoined, the original composer of the group, Dai Nagao, has not. They officially return on 29 of September, the same day they started their career on 1999 and the same day they broke up on 2005.
They surprised everyone when they played in a-nation’08 without any previous announcement, and there’s a concert scheduled for 30 of September.

The band reformed on September 29, 2008, and reportedly will have their first new release in spring 2009.

Do As Infinity Return!!!

Do As Infinity announced their revival this year and followed with a new single in June. Now the band is ready for an all new album, titled ETERNAL FLAME, to be released on 2009.9.30!! The album also serves as the start of the band's 10th anniversary celebrations, released a day after the band turns ten.

Setelah Single terbaru mereka yang baru saja direlease 2 bulan yang lalu, dan setelah pertemuan kembali para personil DAI pada akhir tahun 2008 kemarin. Akhirnya terwujud juga kembalinya DAI ke kancah musik J-POP. Can't wait to hear their new songs... ^^
